We traditionally hold Tea Talks at St Mary’s Kidlington on the second Sunday of the month in January, February and March – something to brighten a winter afternoon. These start at 3pm and are followed by refreshments: tea/coffee and homemade cakes. Entrance is free, but there is a retiring collection in aid of church funds.
This year our talks were:
Sunday 12th January: Henry Brougham, Chairman of the Kidlington and District Historical Society will talk on “Kidlington: Celebrating our History and Community 1220-2020”
Sunday 9th February: The Ven David Meara will talk on “The Great Scuttle: The end of the German high seas fleet”
Sunday 8th March: A talk by Professor Marian Knight from the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit on “Why What Happens Before You are Born is All-important” in celebration of International Women’s Day
